Apple, denied on Friday allegations of violating a court order related to its App Store and urged a California federal judge to reject a request by Epic Games. This argument was presented in a filing to U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers who oversaw Epic's 2020 lawsuit accusing Apple of antitrust violations due to its strict control over app downloads and in-app transactions. Apple's filing criticized Epic's request to provide its tools and technologies to developers for free, accusing Epic of trying to influence Apple's business operations to boost its own profitability.
