British Esports Association is under fire for its partnership with the Saudi Esports Federation. British Esports Association recently announced a new partnership with Saudi Esports Federation, however following the announcement the association received criticisms from the public. Most stated that it is against the values of British Esports to partner up with a federation that clearly opposes women’s and LGBTQ+ rights.

British Esports Association stated “We recognise that truly embracing diversity and inclusivity means being ready to tackle challenges head-on and part of that commitment is a willingness to engage in dialogue that positively shapes and influences change,we want to represent all identities and backgrounds and we can’t do this alone. British Esports being part of the discussion enables a line of communication for all parties to share their values, learn and develop together.”

According to the release, British Esports Association refused to cancel the partnership with Saudi Esports Federation.
