Voldex has acquired Roblox's popular life simulator, Brookhaven, for an undisclosed amount. Known for its extensive portfolio of prominent UGC games across Roblox, Fortnite Creative, and Minecraft, Voldex announced that this acquisition will significantly expand its reach, growing its monthly active user base to over 145 million, positioning the company as the top Roblox developer by audience size. The deal was financed through recent capital raises, including equity financing led by Raine Partners, with contributions from Makers Fund, QIA, MIT, Tirta Ventures, and Lalotte Ventures.

As part of the acquisition, Dara Leung from Raine Partners will join Voldex’s board, and Todd Rosoff will take on an observer role. Additionally, the company secured debt financing from Shamrock Capital, with participation from Ares Management Credit funds and Cadma Capital Partners.
Brookhaven, created in 2020, rapidly became one of Roblox’s most beloved destinations, where players can hang out, roleplay, craft stories, live in houses, drive vehicles, and more.
“This acquisition is transformational for Voldex,” said Alex Singer, CEO and founder of Voldex. “We’re honoured that Wolfpaq has entrusted us with Brookhaven. We’re committed to being great stewards of the incredible world he has created and the vibrant community that makes it special.”
Brookhaven creator Wolfpaq commented, “I am excited for Voldex to continue building upon what makes Brookhaven fun for players worldwide, and for our dedicated fans and players to continue being whoever they want to be in Brookhaven RP.”
