ESL FACEIT Group announced its decision to lay off 15% of its workforce. According to reports roughly 300 employees will be affected by the changes. The company stated that they "will offer financial support on a global scale" for the affected workers. The letter states that the laid off workers will lose access to company emails after February 28th.
CEOs Craig Levine and Niccolo Maisto stated, To ensure ESL FACEIT Group continues to evolve in a fast-paced market, we are planning to reduce the size of our team by roughly fifteen-percent. This change is designed to support EFG’s sustainable growth ambitions and profitability. We understand how hard this is, especially for those who will no longer be a part of EFG. As co-CEOs, we did not make this decision lightly. We feel it’s important to take accountability for it, and provide clarity and transparency from the outset of the changes ahead.
