Epic Games has won in its legal battle against Google, as the jury has unanimously declared Google Play and its billing system as unlawful monopoly. Additionally, the jury found Google's Project Hug initiative, where developers were purportedly incentivized financially to remain on the Play Store, to be anti-competitive. Epic Games stated "It proves that Google's app store practices were illegal and they abuse their monopoly to extract exorbitant fees, stifle competition and reduce innovation."
