Leading up to the Kick 2.0 launch, developers have implemented various updates to enhance the platform, including the introduction of new features aimed at increasing audience engagement. One notable addition is their version of Channel Points, earned by spending extended periods watching a streamer.

The more time viewers engage with a specific streamer, the more Channel Points they accumulate, granting access to specific features within the stream. This system incentivizes viewers to stay engaged for longer durations, ultimately fostering increased viewer retention.

Platform's co-founcer Trainwrecks stated “At this point, I don’t think we give a f**k if it’s ugly and half-assed if we can just get some variance of it, something just to have viewers track their watch time, how many points they have.”
