During the LCK match between DRX and Dplus KIA, spectators were drawn into a match lasting seven hours, due persistent network problems. From the outset of game 1, interruptions plagued the match, with game 2 experiencing even lengthier delays.
The first disruption occurred around the 9-minute mark of game 1 when players reported ping issues. After an initial pause lasting roughly 8 minutes, the game resumed, only to encounter worse issues around the 20-minute mark due to DRX's ping issues. Subsequently, the pause reason was revised to a network problem, leading to an additional delay of approximately 30 minutes. Despite Dplus KIA emerging victorious in the resumed game, the ordeal persisted.
After the first match , Riot Games stated, "The LCK has determined that conditions are too unstable to proceed with today's second match. The match will be rescheduled according to the LCK Rulebook, and will be announced via the LCK's official social media. We apologize once again for the inconvenience."
