LeagueSpot Acquires Mission Control

leagueSpot has acquired Mission Control, a community-focused esports company, with plans to expand into traditional sports in North America. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
Following the acquisition, Taryn McCarty and Rob Johnson from Ventnor Ventures will join LeagueSpot’s Board of Directors. Both McCarty and Johnson bring experience in scaling operations and revenue generation in the sports sector.

LeagueSpot has been active in the esports industry, having partnered with Epic Charter Schools in 2023 to renew its esports education program and securing a three-year deal with collegiate esports league NACE Starleague in August 2022.
Austin Smith, CEO of Mission Control, stated “Our business was dedicated to gathering and growing communities by utilizing recreational esports.We are thrilled by Mission Control’s new home with LeagueSpot because it will allow us to continue to gather communities on the LeagueSpot platform, the most impressive platform available to the market, as well as start gathering communities utilising traditional sports, taking us back to our roots.”
