Astralis has announced that co-founder Nikolaj Nyholm is stepping down from his position as CEO but will remain a board member. Jakob Hansen, the former CFO, will assume the role of interim CEO.
This change comes after a series of controversies that have plagued the Danish team over the past year. Issues arose concerning the transfers of Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund from HEROIC in late 2023, and the team faced significant criticism for using Casper "cadiaN" Møller as an emergency substitute during the BLAST Fall Final.
