Nintendo has officially announced a new pre-order date for the highly anticipated Switch 2 in the United States: April 24. The base console will launch at a confirmed price of $450, while the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle will retail for $500.
In an update posted to its official website, Nintendo also acknowledged that the pricing of Switch 2 accessories will be impacted by recent shifts in market conditions. While no specific increases have been detailed, the company left the door open for further changes.
"Nintendo Switch 2 accessories will experience price adjustments from those announced on April 2 due to changes in market conditions," the statement read. "Other adjustments to the price of any Nintendo product are also possible in the future depending on market conditions."
Game prices for flagship titles remain unchanged. Both the physical and digital versions of Mario Kart World are priced at $80, while Donkey Kong Bananza will sell for $70.

In a follow-up update dated April 11, Nintendo revealed that pre-orders in the U.S. and Canada will begin in waves, starting May 8, exclusively through the My Nintendo Store. This staggered rollout follows delays initially caused by shifting U.S. trade policies.
The change in schedule came after President Donald Trump’s recent move to reduce tariffs on imported goods from all countries—excluding China—from 25% to 10%, a shift aimed at easing inflationary pressures and supporting U.S. retailers ahead of the holiday shopping season.
Pre-orders for the Switch 2 have already gone live in Europe, where strong demand has been reported.
