Roblox Banned in Turkey

Roblox has been banned in Turkey due to concerns over "child exploitation," as announced by the Turkish Ministry of Justice. The Turkish Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), which had also blocked access to Instagram earlier in the week, made the decision to block all access to Roblox.
The Ministry's statement emphasized the government's constitutional duty to protect children, though it provided few details about the specific reasons for the ban.

Roblox has faced scrutiny over its content moderation policies for some time, particularly regarding its ability to safeguard its predominantly young user base from mature content and issues related to child labor.
Roblox officials stated "We've spent almost 20 years making Roblox one of the safest online platforms for our users, particularly the youngest, and ensuring the safety of our users is at the core of everything we do, we respect the laws and regulations in countries where we operate and share local lawmakers' commitment to children. We look forward to working together to ensure Roblox is back online in Türkiye as soon as possible."
