Tequila Works, the Spanish game development studio known for titles like Rime, Gylt, and Deadlight, has started auctioning off its intellectual property (IP) and game rights after filing for insolvency in November 2024.
As reported by VGC, the studio has set up an auction page on the Escrapalia platform, where it is offering its "intangible assets" for sale. These include the rights to several of its popular games, as well as in-development projects and the studio's branding.

Among the assets listed are the trademarks and rights for Rime, the action-adventure puzzle game Gylt, and Tequila Works' debut title Deadlight. In addition, the auction features vertical slices for unreleased titles, including The Ancient Mariner, Dungeon Tour, and Brawler Crawler. The listing also includes Tequila Works' branding, website, and social media handles.
Tequila Works filed for insolvency last year, citing "prolonged market conditions" as the primary factor behind its financial difficulties. Just one month before the insolvency filing, the studio made the difficult decision to lay off a "small number" of its development team.
