According to recent reports, Warner Bros. Discovery is closing its Rooster Teeth division. The shutdown of the gaming studio will lead to layoffs for 150 employees. According to a memo obtained by Variety, Rooster Teeth general manager Jordan Levin attributed the closure to challenges in digital media due to shifts in consumer behavior and monetization across platforms, advertising.

Rooster Teeth, known for its creation of the comedic machinima web series Red vs. Blue using Halo, has been in operation for 21 years. Last year, the company announced that the upcoming 19th season of Red vs. Blue would mark its final installment.
