|content=The Bad News Eagles have officially announced their decision to disband following their final competitive outing at the upcoming IESF World Championship. The news marks the conclusion of a memorable and passionate journey for the Kosovar Counter-Strike team, known for defying the odds without the backing of a major organization for much of their run.

The team first came together under the [[Companies/Bad News Eagles|Bad News Eagles]] moniker in March 2022, and quickly rose to prominence with a surprise qualification from the Regional Major Rankings (RMR) to the Legends Stage at PGL Major Antwerp. Their rise captivated fans across the globe, positioning them as one of the most compelling underdog stories in modern CS:GO history.

Their momentum carried through two more consecutive Major appearances at IEM Rio and BLAST.tv Paris. Notably, at the Rio Major, they delivered a stunning blow to FaZe Clan in the Legends Stage, which helped solidify their credentials and ultimately earned them a contract with GUILD Esports heading into the PGL Major Copenhagen cycle.

However, success under the GUILD banner proved elusive. The team failed to secure qualification for the Copenhagen Major and struggled across a string of online tournaments and qualifiers. Their inconsistent results led to GUILD releasing the roster in May 2024.

After spending the rest of the year apart, the players reunited in January 2025, once again competing as Bad News Eagles. But despite the reunion, their struggles continued, with early exits in qualifiers and disappointing performances in smaller events becoming the norm.

"These past few months were tough and we couldn't find us improving as a team," the team shared in their farewell statement.

While the decision to part ways signals the end of the Bad News Eagles as a competitive unit, the players emphasized that their story isn’t truly over.

"Though the team is disbanding, the spirit, the legacy, and the passion for the game live on," the announcement continued. "This is not goodbye — it's simply the end of one chapter, and the beginning of many new ones."
