|content=Epic Games has officially ended its legal battle with Samsung, closing a chapter in its broader antitrust crusade against mobile tech giants. The game developer confirmed the dismissal of its lawsuit against Samsung, citing constructive dialogue between the two companies.

The lawsuit, originally filed in 2024, alleged that a partnership between Samsung and Google had undermined the outcome of Epic’s successful antitrust case against Google. Epic had won that case in December 2023, with a jury ruling that Google’s app store practices were anti-competitive.

In its complaint against Samsung, Epic claimed the South Korean conglomerate had made misleading statements about its apps. “As an app developer, Epic is harmed by Samsung’s untruthful statements that its apps are unknown and unsafe,” the company wrote in the original filing. “These false statements not only harm Epic’s reputation but lead to identifiable instances of users abandoning the installation of Epic apps, resulting in the lost profits that would have resulted from purchases made by those users.”

On Tuesday, [[Companies/Epic Games|Epic Games]] CEO Tim Sweeney confirmed the lawsuit’s resolution, stating, “We are dismissing our court case against Samsung following the parties’ discussions.” He added that he was “grateful that Samsung will address Epic’s concerns.”
