|content=Argentinian esports organization Isurus has confirmed that it will not compete in the CBLOL for the 2026 season. This decision follows a series of challenges related to the structural changes in the Brazilian league, notably the splitting of the LTA (Latin America) back into the LCS and CBLOL. Isurus cited these changes as a significant factor in their choice to step away, as they believe it reduces the opportunities to compete in international tournaments.

The organization also highlighted the difficulties tied to the "guest partner" status given by Riot Games. Unlike the permanent partner teams, guest partners like Isurus are subject to a promotion and relegation system, where they must fight for their place in the league at the end of each season. This uncertain structure, Isurus said, made long-term planning and team development harder.

Facundo ‘Kala’ Calabró, CEO & Founder of [[Companies/Isurus|Isurus]], spoke about the decision in a video shared on social media. He explained that being an invited team puts the organization at a major disadvantage compared to partner teams, both on and off the competitive stage. “It’s not just about covering a slot at the end of the year, but precisely that being an invited team inherently positions you at a very strong structural disadvantage compared to all the other partner teams, both competitively and in terms of business,” Kala said.

The decision comes after a mixed 2025 season for Isurus. The team had an impressive start, finishing first in the LTA South Split 1 following a merger with Estral Esports. However, the momentum quickly stalled, and Isurus struggled to maintain its competitiveness in the subsequent splits. The organization missed out on the LTA Championship and failed to qualify for any international tournaments that year. Though Isurus managed to win the LTA South promotion tournament, the competition for the 2026 CBLOL season will be fierce, as only one team will secure a spot in each international event.

Additionally, the 2026 season will see a reduced number of international slots for CBLOL teams, with only one spot available for the Mid-Season Invitational and one for Worlds 2026, compared to the LCS, which will have two at MSI and three at Worlds.
