|content=BLAST, has appointed Charlie Cowdrey as the new Chief Executive Officer of JioBLAST, its recently launched joint venture with RISE, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited. This move marks a significant step in [[Companies/BLAST|BLAST]]’s global expansion strategy, particularly as the company targets the fast-growing Indian esports market.

Cowdrey, who has been with BLAST for over four years, will relocate from London to Mumbai this September to lead operations for the joint venture in India. His appointment comes as BLAST seeks to capitalize on the opportunities that India offers, both in terms of esports viewership and the growing competitive gaming scene.

Cowdrey has been instrumental in BLAST’s recent success, having held a range of senior leadership roles within the organization. He started as Chief of Staff before becoming Programme Director for Epic Games, where he managed BLAST’s high-profile publisher relationships, including the Rocket League esports (RLCS) and Fortnite Competitive (FNCS) events.
