{{News |seo_title=LCK Partners with Upbit |seo_keywords=LCK |image=LCK.png |tags=LCK |date=2025-09-04T15:54:46.000Z |sources={{NewsSource |source=Twitter |url=https://x.com/Official_Upbit/status/1963134875906822202 |article=News/LCK Partners with Upbit }} |author=Andura |category=Business |content=The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) has secured a new sponsorship agreement with Dunamu, the operator behind leading South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, adding another major web3 player to the growing list of partners in the esports ecosystem. As part of the 2025 partnership, Upbit is set to roll out a slate of promotional campaigns and fan engagement initiatives through the end of the season. These include in-stadium advertisements, placements on live broadcast screens, and dedicated fan zones at the LCK finals. Upbit’s involvement will also extend to exclusive offerings for its members, such as backstage tours, viewing parties, fan reward programs with in-game content, and limited-edition merchandise. The company will additionally run booths at the finals' fan festival, further integrating its brand with the LCK experience. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. With this announcement, the LCK’s sponsor roster now totals 16 companies, featuring notable names like Logitech, Red Bull, Woori Bank, OP.GG, SOOP, and INSPIRE. While the inclusion of another web3 brand may raise eyebrows within parts of the esports community, the LCK-Upbit partnership follows a growing trend. Earlier this year, Riot Games entered into a multi-year agreement with Coinbase, naming the crypto exchange as an official sponsor across global League of Legends and VALORANT events. However, similar to the Coinbase partnership, this new alliance will not integrate cryptocurrency or blockchain technology into the esports experience itself.
