|content=Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has made its return to the US market after a brief ban. Players can now resume playing matches and re-download the game on their devices. The ban was imposed on January 19, 2025, following the temporary ban of the short-form video platform TikTok. MLBB’s developer and publisher, MOONTON, is a subsidiary of Bytedance, the Chinese tech company that owns TikTok.

While TikTok's services were reinstated later on January 19 through an Executive Order from President Donald Trump, MLBB’s services were only restored in the early hours of January 21 (UK timezone).

“Great news! Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is officially back after a brief pause,” the official MLBB account shared on social media.

“Simply open the app as usual, no additional action is needed, and jump right back into the fun. Thank you for your patience and support during our brief pause. We’re thrilled to have you back.”

In response to the downtime, MOONTON has gifted returning players in-game rewards that would have been available during the temporary shutdown.

MLBB's return comes just ahead of the 2025 MPL season, set to kick off in several regions in February. While the game is more popular in Southeast Asia, the US market remains significant with its own tournaments that qualify players for major international competitions.

MLBB wasn’t the only game affected by TikTok’s temporary ban—Marvel Snap, a digital card game, also faced a similar issue but has since returned on January 21.

The Executive Order also halts the enforcement of TikTok’s ban for the next 75 days.
