NODWIN Gaming,has acquired Sony Interactive Entertainment's (SIE) stake in the event, becoming the new majority shareholder. This move is part of a strategic shift aimed at growing Evo's reach internationally while preserving its roots in the fighting game community.

The esports organization, known for its deep influence in South Asian esports and youth entertainment, is poised to drive the series into new regions. The financial details of the acquisition, including the amount of the transaction, have not been disclosed.

Although [[Companies/Sony|Sony]] is stepping back from a direct ownership role, the tech giant will continue to serve as Evo’s global sponsor until at least 2028.
