They alleged that Sony's devices utilized a unique system, transmitting separate signals at different frequencies for button inputs and motion control input, which they claimed infringed on their patented technology.

However, Sony countered these claims by arguing that GET failed to provide sufficient evidence proving that specific components in their controllers were "structurally equivalent" to the logic diagrams outlined in GET's patent. Following deliberation, the US District Court judge ruled in favor of Sony, stating that there was insufficient evidence to support GET's allegations of patent infringement.
