|content=Ubisoft has officially named Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot as co-CEOs of its newly formed subsidiary, created in partnership with Chinese tech giant [[Companies/Tencent|Tencent]]. The announcement follows a €1.16 billion ($1.25 billion USD) minority investment from Tencent earlier this year, aimed at accelerating Ubisoft’s transformation and expanding the reach of its most iconic game franchises.

The new unit will focus on developing “evergreen and multiplatform ecosystems” for Ubisoft’s flagship brands, including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six. It represents a core component of [[Companies/Ubisoft|Ubisoft]]’s evolving strategy to scale operations and extend the life cycles of its biggest properties. Tencent’s investment was the result of what Ubisoft described as a “formal and competitive process” to identify a strategic partner for long-term growth.

Christophe Derennes, formerly managing director for Ubisoft North America, and Charlie Guillemot, son of Ubisoft co-founder and current CEO Yves Guillemot, will lead the venture. In a company statement, Ubisoft said the two executives “bring strong industry expertise, deep knowledge of the Ubisoft ecosystem, and a shared culture of innovation.”

Yves Guillemot added: “Charlie and Christophe's main responsibilities will be to define the strategy and vision for the brands, create the right conditions for the teams to operate at the highest level, and ensure players remain at the heart of everything they do. With Christophe's extensive operational and production experience, having launched and led the Montreal studio, he has demonstrated throughout his career his ability to do just that.”
