The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) has officially announced the launch of the first-ever BFBS Pro League, with Rocket League as the featured game. This new initiative is set to unite the UK’s armed forces community through competitive gaming, offering participants a chance to compete for a £15,000 prize pool and a host of other rewards including gaming PCs and in-game credits.
The competition is open to a broad spectrum of the military community, including:
Participants must be aged 13 or older, and registration is now open to players of all skill levels. Importantly, the top 100 players in the league will each receive a prize, adding an inclusive and rewarding edge to the tournament.
“Gaming and esports bring people together and connect them with shared passion, and these elements underpin so much of our work at BFBS,” said Ben Chapman, CEO of BFBS. “Esports also encourage healthy competition and are so popular to watch. We can’t wait to build our leaderboard and a whole community of gamers.”
To bring the BFBS Pro League to life, BFBS has partnered with EPIC.LAN, a well-known UK-based esports event organiser. EPIC.LAN will handle event operations, planning, and provide the platform to host the competition.
