The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) regional finals for North America have been postponed following incidents where two players were hacked during gameplay over the weekend. Interestingly, it appears that the game's own anti-cheat software might be responsible for the issue. GenBurten from DarkZero was the first to be affected, experiencing an unexpected ability to see enemy players through walls amid a match. Subsequently, ImperialHal from TSM encountered unintentional aimbotting.

Anti Cheat Police Department stated Apex's Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) could be the source of the issue, with hackers using remote code execution (RCE) to inject cheats into streamers' PCs.
