Forge secured $11m in investment. Forge aims to create a platform to connect and reward gamers. The company was founded by Dennis “Thresh” Fong, Crunchyroll founder Kun Gao, and Cyence founder George Ng. The funding was led by Makers Fund, Bitkraft Ventures and Animoca Brands. The investors include Griffin Gaming Partners, Riot Games, and Sony Innovation Fund.

Gao stated “Community engagement and player engagement and community building are just such an important part of building and launching a game these days. We just felt like there’s something interesting there to explore. And so that’s what really started us on this on this journey.”
