A former employee of Kick has alleged racism and discrimination against streamers with Autism or cancer by staff at the streaming platform. In a YouTube video posted on June 17, the ex-employee, identified only as Melissa, accused her former colleagues of inappropriate behavior.
According to former employee she decided to resign due to what she described as an "extremely hostile" office environment at Kick. She stated "There was a consistent disrespect to other people’s opinions and beliefs. This went as far as consistently hearing the F-slur and not only just in gist as a joke, it was specifically targeted towards people it was supposed to discriminate against,”

She further alleged that team members at Kick would laugh when intentionally misgendering transgender streamers. Melissa also claimed the mistreatment of an Autistic streamer signed by the platform, citing an incident where a staff member smirked and commented that they had negotiated the streamer's rate significantly lower than the market.
