KOLEX has announced a new collectible service that will leverage print-on-demand and print-to-order technologies to honor esports players and teams. According to relelase the service is designed to enhance fan engagement and offer scalable revenue opportunities for esports teams.
The new service is set to launch later this financial quarter, with the first batch of cards being introduced as promotional items at Gamescom in Cologne, specifically at the SK Gaming Booth. The print-on-demand system will enable fans to pre-order cards, which will be printed once the pre-order period concludes. Additionally, the service offers digital-first cards that can be printed at the collector's discretion. KOLEX's technology ensures that each digital card is linked to its physical counterpart.
Mark Donovan, Co-Founder and CEO of KOLEX stated “Every collectible represents a moment in time. We let teams and players decide which moments they want to celebrate and memorialise. These are the Mickey Mantle or Michael Jordan Rookie Cards of esports and looking back in 50 or 100 years we want them to serve the same purpose as time capsules and keepsakes for the sports they represent.”
