Team BDS has unveiled a new tournament, "Take the Throne," set to take place during the off-season of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS). Scheduled for November 23, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland, the event aims to showcase some of the world’s best Rocket League teams and is poised to be one of the largest esports events in the country.
The tournament will feature eight competing teams vying for an undisclosed prize pool. Team BDS, renowned for its success in Rocket League, will organize the event. The organization is notably the most decorated in the game's history, having won the RLCS World Championship in 2022 and 2024, as well as the Esports World Cup in 2024.

Despite its recent decision to sell its entire roster following the RLCS World Championship 2024, Team BDS plans to continue in the Rocket League esports scene. The organization aims to "start from scratch" and build its competitive presence anew, while also focusing on tournament organization.
Take the Throne will be held at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, a historic venue in Geneva that was originally built in 1883 and features a 1,000-seat auditorium, updated for events in the 1980s.
