Texas-based studio Ruckus Games has raised $19 million in a Series A funding round led by Krafton, with additional contributions from Bitkraft Ventures, Transcend, and Hypergryph. The funding will support the development of Ruckus' debut game, a roster-based co-op shooter.
Ruckus, founded in 2021 by Gearbox and Riot alumni, previously raised $5.5 million in seed funding from Transcend Fund in September 2022, which helped a 14-person team develop a prototype over 12 months. Early playtests for the untitled game are planned for this winter.
