The Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) has announced a dedicated Chinese region for its 2025 season, alongside existing regions in Asia, EMEA, and North America. The new competition will kick off with Stage One, and the first live event of 2025 will be held in Hangzhou, China.
In addition, OWCS will host three international events this year, starting with Champions Clash in China, featuring eight teams, two from each region. Overwatch esports' return to China aligns with the game's server relaunch, set for February 19, 2025, following Blizzard’s renewed partnership with NetEase.

The 2025 season will also include the Midseason Championship in Saudi Arabia and the World Finals at DreamHack in Stockholm. Significant changes include a three-split competitive circuit, promotion and relegation, and a Partner Program, where teams will earn a share of proceeds from in-game crowdfunded team packs.
As Max Grimborg, Head of Leagues Media, commented, “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to announce Arozzi as the title sponsor of the NLC for 2025.”
