Rupal and Vega, who were Esports World Cup runner-ups with Toronto Ultra, will lead the Support roles, while KNIFE (formerly of Crazy Raccoon) and TR33 (ex-NRG Shock) will take on DPS duties. Infekted (ex-NTMR) will fill the Tank position.
“For the first time in my career, I’m the oldest player on my team. Happy to be back with Cas and Danny. Also excited to play with a group of very talented youngsters and Infekted,” Rupal shared on social media.
This new-look Team Liquid will make its debut in the Overwatch Champions Series 2025 – NA Stage 1, starting on January 31st. They’ll face off against fellow partnered team Spacestation Gaming and six other teams that advanced from the Open Qualifier.
The top two teams will secure spots in Champions Clash, where they’ll compete against teams from other OWCS regions.
Vega stated “Super stoked to start with this team. Although we don’t have two Korean imports, I’m confident we can work hard together and beat the Korean teams at internationals. Wish us luck.”
