Falcons Esports etched their name into Counter-Strike history with a commanding 3-0 victory over G2 Esports in the grand final of PGL Bucharest, securing their first LAN trophy. The team swept the best-of-five series across Mirage (13-5), Nuke (13-7), and Ancient (13-8), putting on a clinical display of both individual brilliance and tactical prowess.

Despite lifting their maiden title, the win is expected to mark the end of this roster's journey together. The Falcons are reportedly on the verge of finalizing the signing of Ilya "⁠m0NESY⁠" Osipov, a move that would significantly alter the current lineup ahead of their next event.

In a post-match interview, head coach Danny "⁠zonic⁠" Sørensen expressed heartfelt pride:

"It means a lot, especially also the way this tournament went for us," he said. "It wasn't the best start, not going to lie. It's been long time, no see regarding trophies, so I'm super proud of these five players. They've done an amazing job this week and I'm so proud of them."

Map Breakdown: Map 1 – Mirage (G2’s pick): Falcons came out of the gate swinging, racing to a 7-0 lead before G2 could register a round. A scrappy end to the first half still saw Falcons comfortably ahead at 8-4. Despite dropping the second pistol round, Falcons quickly rebounded and strung together a convincing series of rounds to shut down G2’s attempts at a comeback. The map ended 13-5 in favor of the Falcons, with degster leading the charge with 21 kills and a standout 1.79 impact rating.

Map 2 – Nuke (Falcons’ pick): G2 started stronger this time, jumping to a 3-0 lead. However, Falcons clawed their way back, eventually conceding a narrow lead by halftime. G2 equalized at 7-7, but the momentum shifted entirely as Falcons locked down every remaining round with a flawless defense. TeSeS stood tall with 17 kills and a 1.70 rating, helping push the Falcons to match point.

Map 3 – Ancient (G2’s pick): Ancient saw a much tighter contest early on, with both sides trading rounds. Falcons edged ahead by halftime and began to stretch their lead with a strong T-side showing. Despite G2 mounting resistance, particularly through NiKo’s efforts, the Falcons proved too organized and too sharp. Outaiming and outmaneuvering their opponents, they closed out the series 13-8 to seal a clean sweep and hoist their first major trophy.

With a long-awaited title finally secured, Falcons look ahead to a potentially new chapter with roster changes looming.
