The parent company of TikTok, ByteDance announced that they will restructure Nuverse and retreat from the gaming industry. "We regularly review our businesses and make adjustments to centre on long-term strategic growth areas. Following a recent review, we've made the difficult decision to restructure our gaming business," the spokeperson said to Reuters.

The company is expected to lay off a significant portion of its staff. The reports also state that ByteDance aims to sell Moonton Technology the parent company of MLBB.
