Nintendo has decided to cancel its show in Tokyo due to ongoing threats directed at its employees. The compay revealed the cancellation through an online statement, without specifying the details of the threats. Nintendo recently shut down the Wii U servers.

Nintendo has decided to postpone several other events, including the Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Challenge Final Stage, and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship 2024. These competitions were originally scheduled to take place during Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo.
