Materia Music, a publisher specializing in video game music, has successfully acquired Boss Battle Records, an Australian gaming record label. Established in 2017 by Fabian Malabello, Boss Battle Records has made the music for titles like Star Wars, Metal Gear Solid, HoK, Pac-Man, and Apex Legends.

The negotiations for the acquisition between Materia Music and Boss Battle Records have been ongoing since 2019. In the coming year, Materia Music, plans to enhance Boss Battle Record's collection by expanding into physical media and merchandise.
