Activision Blizzard has reached a settlement of $54.9m for a lawsuit filed by California’s Civil Rights Department, which accused the company of engaging in discriminatory pay and promotion practices against women.

This resolution,follows Microsoft's completion of its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October, a deal that received regulatory approval after Microsoft addressed concerns raised in the U.K..
