Shopify Rebellion has made history by becoming the first-ever Game Changers roster to qualify for the VALORANT Challengers circuit.

After securing third place at the NA Challengers Closed Qualifier on January 22, the team has advanced to Stage 1 of the regional Challengers circuit. This stage offers a chance to qualify for the VCT Americas league through the VCT Ascension tournament. The VCT Game Changers (GC) circuit is a multi-regional VALORANT league that provides athletes of marginalized genders with a platform to compete and develop their skills. Shopify Rebellion has been a powerhouse within the Game Changers scene, winning consecutive Championship titles in 2023 and 2024.

“We’re the first Game Changers team to ever make Challengers, 4+ years of grinding has led to this moment. History made, we did it. I love my team,” shared Shopify Rebellion player Alexis ‘alexis’ Guarrasi on her personal X (formerly Twitter) account after the qualification.

In addition to their historic achievement, the team is known for nurturing Game Changers talent, including Ava ‘florescent’ Eugene. Florescent, a former SR player, made history herself as the first Game Changers athlete to join an international VCT league, signing with Apeks for the current VCT EMEA season.
