Gen.G is jumping back into the battle royale game with some serious firepower. The organization has signed North American standouts Aidan "Ajerss" Bernero and Marguire "Ritual" Morton to their main roster as they gear up for the 2026 Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) season.

Along with the main duo, Gen.G brought in Jargue and KingOnExpo to build out a development roster. This setup gives Ajerss and Ritual a solid group to practice and sharpen their skills in the ever-changing Fortnite meta.

The new Gen.G Fortnite squad didn't waste any time hitting the ground running. Ajerss and Ritual made their official debut yesterday, January 8th, dropping into the first qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2026. Early days, but it's exciting to see them already in action under the new banner. This move marks Gen.G's comeback to Fortnite after stepping away for about five years. Back in 2021, they ran a female roster that turned heads in several big events, including a strong second-place finish at Women of the eRena 5. Now they're back in North America with two of the region's hottest talents.

Ritual has been on fire lately and is widely seen as one of the strongest players in NA. In the 2025 FNCS season, he dominated by winning both Major 2 and Major 3 Grand Finals, racking up a combined $120,000 in prize money along the way.

Ajerss is right there with him as elite-level talent. He took home the win in the 2025 Major 1 Grand Final and followed it up with a solid second place in Major 2. Pairing these two together feels like a powerhouse duo ready to make noise in Duos, especially with FNCS shifting back to that format for 2026.

Fortnite isn't the only battle royale Gen.G has been expanding into recently. Just last September, they entered Call of Duty: Warzone by picking up Aydan "Aydan" Conrad after the 2025 season wrapped. They're clearly building a strong presence across the BR space, and this Fortnite return fits right into that strategy.
