Cloud9 has announced that Kia America will become the naming rights partner for its League of Legends team, resulting in the new name, Cloud9 Kia. This rebranding will kick off at the start of the League of the Americas (LTA) season. The partnership will also include various co-branded initiatives, such as content series, live events, and more.
Cloud9 and Kia America's collaboration began ahead of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship and continued throughout 2024. According to a LinkedIn post from Cloud9, this new phase of the partnership represents a "natural progression following a year of growth and resilience," highlighting a shared commitment to performance and innovation. The duration of the new partnership has not been disclosed.
