Sky's streaming platform, WOW, acquired the Naming Rights for the Virtual Bundesliga. According to the deal, WOW's logo will be displayed on all digital platforms of the WOW Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) and during all offline events of the VBL and its various competition sections. Caterina Preti, Senior Vice President OTT at Sky Germany stated “Through the partnership with the Virtual Bundesliga, we will now make our great streaming offering from WOW even better known in the eSports segment. Gaming and eSports are highly relevant for our target group and WOW offers the appropriate streaming content. This includes outstanding live sports including the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 as well as numerous other soccer competitions and sports as well as highlight series based on well-known video games such as The Last of Us from HBO or Halo. As a WOW team, we cheer on with all Bundesliga clubs — including the virtual teams, of course. We therefore see a strong basis for profitable engagement in the Virtual Bundesliga environment."
