The 1win Series Dota 2 Summer tournament concluded after a four-day online battle among eight teams. Team Spirit emerged victorious in the Grand Final against European contenders Gaimin Gladiators, securing a $50k share of the $100k prize pool.
This event marks the second tournament organized by bookmaker 1win, following the debut of the 1win Series Dota 2 Spring event in March.
Throughout the initial three days of the tournament, organizers faced challenges with Twitch. Multiple broadcast channels were unexpectedly suspended by the platform, with no explanation provided by Twitch.
The company stated "On the debut day of the 1win Series Dota 2 Summer one of our main channels was blocked. We immediately used the backup channel and started broadcasting on it. There were no problems until the end of the matches. On the same day, we filed an appeal to unblock the channel, and at the time of publishing this text, Twitch has not made a decision. On the second day of the 1win Series Dota 2 Summer, our backup channel was blocked. Similar to the previous time, we filled out an official form and are waiting for a response from the site.”
